Mosaiko | Institute for Citizenship , was invited to attend the International Conference on the legal protection of children in contact with the Justice System held 24-25 November at Mausoleum Dr. António Agostinho Neto.
Organized by the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, the event brought together members of the Executive, national and foreign judicial magistrates and prosecutors, provincial delegates of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, and lawyers, among others.
The conference addressed issues such as: the implementation of crime prevention measures, freedom, protection of child victims and perpetrators on the basis of both International Conventions and the reform of the Angolan justice system and Law.
A study conducted between 2011 and 2012 by Mosaiko, with support from UNICEF, on the application in Huíla on models applied to assist the processing of youth in the juvenile court system was presented by Dr. Mary Daly, a member of the research team.
